For children in their last year of Primary School, learning could not be anymore exciting! Children in Year 6 enjoy some incredible topics supported by excellent learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Throughout Year 6 the children will learn about: what life was like for children during World War 2; the scientific discoveries of Charles Darwin; travel the world to places such as Mexico and the Antarctic and explore the factors that make them unique. All this is done whilst fully preparing children for the SATs in May and for moving on to Secondary School.
Children also benefit from a residential trip to PGL in November to help build their confidence, teamwork skills and resilience when challenged. Throughout the year they also visit places such as The Science Museum, Imperial War Museum and enjoy visits from authors, historians and scientists.
