                                                                                       World Book Day 2017

Book lovers were celebrating their favourite stories once again as

World Book Day 2017 was back and marking its 20th anniversary.

The annual celebration of authors, illustrators and reading is marked in more than 100 countries around the world.

The main aim of World Book Day is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to have a book of their own.

The event sees kids all over the UK dress as their favourite characters, receive precious book tokens and take part in the events that schools and community groups run to mark the wonder of reading.
