At Stanford Primary School, our admissions for pupils joining Reception - Year 6, including the school's waiting lists, are administrated in conjunction with Merton Borough Council.

Children are eligible to start in Reception in the September of the school year in which they turn five years old (the school year runs from 1 September to 31 August).
Reception admissions are organised centrally by London Borough of Merton school admissions.
The deadline for Reception 2023 applications is 15th January 2023.
Years 1 - 6
Admission into these year groups would typically be for In-year School Admissions (for children new to the area or without a school), and transfers.
In-year Admissions can only be submitted by completing a paper copy of the Merton In-year Admission form.

Admissions to Stanford Specialist Provision
Places within these classes are allocated via Merton Special Educational Need’s Admission Team and not via our school office. Please note, attending Stanford Primary School does not mean you will be given a place in the ARP classes.
Once a place at Stanford has been offered, a mutual time for a Home Visit will be arranged so that we can get to know your child and family before they start. At the Home Visit we will bring an Enrolment Pack and talk you through the steps to supporting your child to join Stanford. Your child should be present during a Home Visit. We pride ourselves on helping children to have a smooth transition to Stanford by working closely with parents and carers.
Appeals Timetable in accordance with the School Admissions Appeal Code 2012 and The School Admissions (England) (Coronavirus) (Appeals Arrangements) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2021.
Primary admission appeals to be heard between 6 June 2022 and 22 July 2022
a) Deadline for Lodging Appeals: 16 May 2022. Appeal forms received within the deadline will be heard between 6 June 2022 and 22 July 2022. We aim to hear all appeals lodged within the normal timescales before 22 July 2022, however some appeals may be heard during August.
b) Appellants will receive notice of the date of their appeal hearing at least 14 calendar days before the hearing date and, where possible, up to 21 calendar days ahead of the date.
c) Appellants must submit their additional evidence and the admission authority to submit their evidence at least 14 calendar days prior to the hearing date.
d) Decision letters will be sent to appellants within 7 calendar days of the hearing, or, where multiple appeals for a school are heard on more than one day within 7 calendar days of the last hearing day for that school.
